Parth is our PHP Developer coop who comes all the way from University of Waterloo. Today he shares his experiences working at SimplyCast.

How did you get a job at SimplyCast?

I applied to a job posted by SimplyCast on JobMine, which is University of Waterloo's online job portal for coop students. Luckily, I got an interview call and landed a job at SimplyCast.

Which educational institution do you attend and what have you studied?

I am enrolled as an undergrad Electrical Engineering student at University of Waterloo. I have completed one year.

What made you want to join the SimplyCast team?

SimplyCast was hiring for the position of PHP developer. I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for me to enhance my technical skills, therefore I was very inclined towards this job. Moreover, Nova Scotia is a very beautiful province. I wanted to visit it too.

What would you like to gain from working at SimplyCast? What have you gained during your time here?

There is something new to learn every day here. I have gained a lot of technical as well as non-technical skills at SimplyCast. I have improved my programming skills and I feel more comfortable with programming now. Moreover I get to interact a lot with different people which has helped me enhance my communication skills.

How would you explain what SimplyCast does?

Helping people realize their communication dreams!

What's your vision for SimplyCast?

To become the world's leading marketing automation company.

Would you recommend SimplyCast to others?

Yes, definitely.

What would you tell an applicant considering SimplyCast for an employment opportunity?

It's a fun place to work at.

What classes or training helped prepare you for working at SimplyCast?

The Introduction to Programming course in C# that I took at school helped me a lot.

How does SimplyCast differ from other employers you have worked for?

At SimplyCast, there is a great office environment. Everyone is really polite, friendly and always willing to help each other.

Can you walk us through a day in the life of a SimplyCast employee?

The work starts at 9 a.m. At 12 we have lunch and a variety of activities such as potluck and Mario Kart tournaments. Foosball is major sport at SimplyCast. There is always a huge spectator gathering for that, whether it's at the lunch break or the 3 p.m. break.

What's your proudest moment at SimplyCast?

When the CEO came to my desk and told me that I am doing really good.
